The Guardian is an automated video image monitoring, recording, and detection system.
The system utilizes Controlled Capture's video time-lapse technology to monitor the incoming video imagery. The imagery is tested by the program every user selected timed interval for a change between a reference image and the current image from the video camera.
The system does nothing if the current image agrees with the reference image. If a change between the two images is sensed, the system begins recording imagery to the disk drive until the change detected is no longer there, or the user acknowledges, or resets, the system with a new reference image.
Like our higher end software and hardware products, The Guardian for USB uses various user programmable timers to obtain time-lapse imagery. The Simple Timer utilizes a set time interval to acquire and save imagery. The versatile Calendar Timer is used for long period time-lapse studies. The Staggered and Interactive timers are used for special timing requirements.
The Guardian for USB also has a Snap image function for stop animation photography. As with our large packages, The Guardian for USB includes our Bitmap File Player and BMP to AVI convertor.
